May Fair
Since its inception in 2000,
Wells May Fair has established itself as the premier
family event in the City. Held on the Cathedral Green,
the Fair features fun for all the family including
country market, Maypole dancing, fairground rides,
children’s entertainers. folk dancing, licensed
bar, plus tea and cakes stalls.
This
year the Fair will be showcasing local musical talent
on the main stage. This will give bands of all genres
the opportunity to play before audiences they may
not otherwise reach, whilst helping the organisers
to raise valuable funds for local charities. The Mangledwurzels
will be performing from a 40ft curtain-sided lorry
trailer between noon and 4pm (times to be confirmed)
with special guests to be confirmed. Other acts will
be proved by Spotlight
