The Mangledwurzels! was the 2007 Christmas Charity
CD-single released by The
Mangledwurzels on 10th December 2007. Recorded and engineered by
Will Angeloro of Handsome
Llama studios in Frome.
All
profits from sales of the single went to the Royal
Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI). More details of
the release here.
The
single contains three tracks:
1. The Twelve Days of Christmas (Farmyard Version)
- A Mangled version of the traditional Christmas song with new lyrics
written by the band to encompass a comic/farmyard theme which is
accompanied by a (QuickTime) video/animation produced by students
from Frome Community College in Somerset.
2.
Lonely This Christmas - A re-worded version of
the 1970s Christmas classic originally recorded by Mud, and written
by Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman (who have given their permission
for us to release our somewhat derivative version of their work!)
3.
Santa’s Coming To Zummerzet - A West-Country
themed comic seasonal ditty written by Seth Pitt of the band.
