The
Mangledwurzels

Here
are a selection of quotations from press and from our fans:
What
the Press Said
Bath's
first cider fest is all but drunk dry
More
than 2,000 people attended the Pavilion's first-ever cider festival,
enjoying the music from The Mangledwurzels... People were up and
dancing and jigging to the band. It was nice to see people enjoying
themselves and shouting for more from the band.
[Bath
Chronicle 19/2/7]
'Adge
Cutler would be flattered by this tribute - Hedge Cutter, Seth Pitt
and Jethro Tool produce an authentic Wurzel sound and vision experience.'
[Wiltshire
Gazette & Herald, August 2006]
'the
best Wurzels tribute band around'
[Frome
Festival programme 2006]
Band
Will Drink Up Their 'Mangled' Zider
Based in the West Country, with the majority of the band born and
bred in Somerset, The Mangledwurzels are in the ideal position to
produce a genuine West Country Scrumpy & Western sound.
[Mid
Somerset Series - What's On Guide 2/2/6]
'the
sound of Somerset'
[Bath
Chronicle 24/12/5]
A
Whiff Of Cider

What
the Fans Said
I
would like to pass on my thanks to The Mangledwurzels for a great
night at the Grove Sports Centre in Nailsea for my 40th birthday.
Everybody there remarked how much fun they had and how much they
enjoyed the band.
[Shane
Sawtell 13/4/07]
'I
didn't like the cider much - but you were brilliant!'
[fan at the Bath Cider Festival 19/2/7]
The Mangledwurzels - they say that ''imitation is the sincerest
form of flattery'', well this tribute band are flattering The Wurzels
in style! If you get a chance to see these guys then you won't be
disappointed.

I
appreciate that most people would view going to see a Worzels cover
band as a clear sign of insanity but I have to say they provide
a bloody good night out. Perhaps I've been down here too long. Perhaps
living next to Europe's largest cider factory has done for me. Who
knows...
[fan's
blog at The
Mohair Diaries]
'The
best tribute band I have ever seen!'
[fan after the Rising Sun gig 30/4/6]
'On
behalf of R.I.C.E., I would like to thank you for kindly arranging
to play a gig at the Red Lion on Saturday. We do appreciate your
help and support, and I thoroughly enjoyed your performance as well.'

of the Elderly, Bath

'It
was like seeing the ghost of Adge Cutler on stage...'
[after Worle Century Club gig 11/12/5.
The lady had seen Adge Cutler performing at the same venue just
after Drink Up Thy Zider hit the charts, which would be
about December 1966]
