Battle Cider (aka 1066 Cider)

Description

Battle Cider is a dynamic young company which bases its products on traditional cider making techniques and old English cider apples grown in one of the few remaining orchards in East Sussex.

Twelve varieties of apple, including Kingston Black, Michilin and Broxwood Foxwhelp were first gathered from a windfall harvest at Sedlescombe in 1995 and the cider proved so popular with friends and relatives that the company was formed soon afterwards, creating a range of ciders and bottled apple juice.

Battle Cider uses only natural ingredients to produce three still, clear ciders - Sweet, Medium and Dry - which are all fermented in malt oak whisky barrels to create the smooth, authentic taste associated with English cider apples.

Strikingly branded to reflect cider's ancient heritage and the company's roots in 1066 country, Battle Cider is available in 330ml glass bottle, 5 gallon take-home barrels and 11 gallon kegs for the on-trade. The company also offers a full bar service for outdoor events.
