Biddenden Cider

Description

Biddenden Vineyards are situated 1.2 miles from the lovely Wealden village of Biddenden, with its High Street flanked by half timbered houses once used for the weaving of cloth, and its 13th century grey stone church. The legend of the 11th century Biddenden Maids is world famous and the charity in their name still exists today.

The vineyards were established by the Barnes family in 1969. Starting with one acre the vineyards has grown to 22 acres with nine varieties of grapes grown. Alongside their wine making Biddenden also produce Strong Kentish Ciders and Farm Pressed Apple Juice, made from the juice of locally grown culinary and dessert apples.

Ciders

What could be more natural in a traditional apple-growing area than to produce apple cider. Biddenden's strong, still cider is made from the juice of farm-pressed Kentish Culinary and Dessert apples. Available in sweet, medium or dry these ciders will quench your thirst in the heat of summer or the chill of winter. Biddenden Ciders have also won a number of prizes, including the prestigious CAMRA Cider of the Year Award.
