Cider Houses

Countryman Cider

'The home of real farmhouse cider!'

Description

Countryman Cider is located in the 15th Century stables of a former coaching inn, on the Devon side of the Tamar Valley.
Visitors are welcome to visit all year round to see how their traditional Farmhouse Ciders are made.

This is a delightful place to visit with an exceedingly friendly welcome from the owners and their family. The peace and tranquility of this beautiful location is worth the visit alone! The informality of the place is far removed from the frantic hustle and bustle of the usual tourist trap. Here you can experience rural life as it really is - and enjoy sampling the various ciders available too! Organised visits are a recent introduction - the locals have known about the place for years but kept the knowledge to themselves! The secret is now being shared with you. Genuinely well worth the visit - especially to drink a sample or two!

Ciders

Countryman Cider is available on Draught - dry, medium or sweet, or mixed to your own taste.

Tried this for the second time in 1998 and found it very fresh and 'clean', without the harshness which I remember from a few years back. Excellent flavour. [crofter.com]
