Crone's
Organic Cider was founded in 1984 by
Robert and Jane Crone. Initially begun
as a hobby, it soon grew, first into
a part time business and not much later
into a full time business. From scrounging
windfalls and pressing a few hundred
gallons it was only a matter of a few
years before they were pressing 60-80
tons of apples a year.
The
range increased from just the one cider
to five distinctly different products,
and they have won awards for several
of their range at a number of Beer Festivals.
In
1994 they began making organic apple
juices and haven't looked back since;
winning the prestigious Soil Association
"Best Non Alchoholic Beverage Award"
in their first year as juice makers. |

Crone's
Organic Cider is a traditional cider
made from a blend of desert apples,
cookers, and cider apples using only
organic fruit and without the use of
chemicals or concentrates. The freshly
pressed apple juice is fermented with
the natural yeasts and the resulting
cider is matured and allowed to clear
naturally without the use of finings
making Crone's organic cider suitable
for Vegans. The only thing we add is
a small amount of unrefined demerara
sugar.
