of five generations of cider-makers

traditional Devon cider for over 100
years, with recipes and skills being
handed down for over five generations.
Hancocks have been producing cider at

| Ciders |
Hancock's Devon Cider is a family run
business and they pride themselves in
producing traditional Devon Cider. Each
autumn they press local apples to make
their Cider and Apple Juice. Originally
they used old type presses with straw
but for the past 50 years have been
using hydraulic operated presses.
Hancock's
cider is a traditional still cider made
from a selection of local apples. It
has a light refreshing flavour and an
alcohol content of 6% vol. It is available
in medium or dry. The cider is bottled
in a variety of different sizes from
miniature bottles to the 5 litre bag-in-box
and 5 gallon containers of draught cider.
They
also produce and bottle their own Apple
Juice made from their own selection
of apples.

...makes
many different sorts of farmhouse cider.
Some years ago, I found the dry somewhat
tart, although fine mixed with medium,
but more recently it has been excellent.
