Seidr
Dai (Dave's
Cider) was started in the autumn of 2000.
The ciders are made only from Welsh fruit,
hand-picked in traditional, unsprayed and
unfertilised orchards, and wherever possible,
Seidr Dai uses rare and endangered Welsh varieties
of cider apple and perry pear. No water, sugar
or yeast are added to the juice during fermentation.
Dave founded the Welsh
Cider Society in June 2001 with the aims
to
save, identify and propagate these 'rare breeds',
so that future generations of Welsh cidermakers
can enjoy their superb flavours.
Seidr
Dai has no permanent outlets, all his produce
are available almost entirely via beer and
cider festivals. |
