Other Bands

  • Merry Moon -a lively blend of English, Irish and American Folk

  • The Fivepenny Piece - Humorous Lancashire band fondly remembered from their heyday in the 1970s; but still going today!
  • The Purple Gang - 1960s jug band best remembered for Granny Takes A Trip

Scrumpy Links

  • ukcider website and the ukcider mailing list
  • APPLE - the rather tortuously contrived name "Apple and Pear Product Liaison Executive" was given to this very worthwhile organisation; a subsidiary organisation of CAMRA dedicated to the conservation and promotion of real cider. [Update 2007 - This organisation appears to have disappeared but the CAMRA website still has some pages on cider and perry.]
  • The Scrumpy User Guide - an essential guide to all things zider. Created by Paul Gunningham and now run by Somersetmade.
  • The Real Cider & Perry Page - originally created by Gillian Grafton, taken over by Paul Gunningham and now run by Somersetmade.
  • The Wittenham Hill Cider Portal (aka Andrew Lea's Small Scale Cidermaking pages) give a lot of technical information on all aspects of cider making, including some interesting pages about Andrew's personal experiences as an expert amateur cidermaker, with some useful tips for anyone wanting to make their own.
  • Bern's Scrumpy World is another site of general interest to scrumpy drinkers - it has Bern's reviews of different ciders, links to scrumpy-related sites, and more! [Warning - not updated since 2001!]
