A Tale of Adge Cutler (1930-1966) | Adge Cutler & The Wurzels (1966-1974) | The Wurzels: The Glory Years (1974-1980) | The Wurzels: The Wilderness Years (1980-1999) | The Wurzels Renassiance (1999-20??)

This is a brand new section of the website, over-writing the previous band history started ambitiously by Zider Ed - but sadly never completed. Rather than complete the work in his style, I have decided to start anew and archive his work into the Articles.

For this website, the story of Adge Cutler and The Wurzels has been dividing into five chapters. We will first recount A Tale of Adge Cutler from his birth in 1930 to the formation of The Wurzels in 1966. The second chapter will cover those eight wonderful years of Adge Cutler & The Wurzels from his meeting in John Miles's office in 1966 to Adge's death in 1974. The third chapter opens with the uncertainty of the Globe Inn gigs of 1974 and covers The Glory Years through to the end of the band's relationship with EMI in 1980. After that we have The Wilderness Years covering almost two long decades from 1980 to 1999; and we complete the history with The Wurzels Renassiance from 1999 into the new Millenium and right up to the current day.

This is very much work in progress at the moment, and will take a good few weeks to complete - and much longer to complete to my satisfaciton (if it ever is), so please bear with me as I put all this information into a logical, chronological and hopefully readable format! And as always your input along with way will be most welcome...
