Over Mendip is another classic Adge Cutler song,
and was included on the band's 1969 album Carry
On Cutler!. This single though was released
in 1967, two years earlier than the album. There is
some confusion as to where and when the album track
was recorded, but it is believed that the single is
a different version to that which appears on the album,
and was most probably recorded earlier again possibly
as part of the Adge
Cutler's Family Album sessions.
Like
it's predecessor, All Over Mendip failed to
chart. The
b-side My Threshing Machine was only otherwise
ever released on compilation albums, but remains a popular
song with Wurzels fans.
