Wurzels Gig Archive 2000

Below is a list of gigs by The Wurzels in 2000, as well as links to reviews of gigs from people lucky enough to be there! The list only contains gigs that Zider Ed was told about by visitors to the Wurzelmania! page, or by The Wurzels themselves.

10th December 2000 The Wurzels in Plymouth
The Wurzels appeared at the Cooperage Inn, Barbican, Plymouth on 10th December 2000. See the Gig Review with photos from Reene The Wurzet.
2nd December 2000 The Wurzels at Ilminster
The Wurzels will be appearing for 2 hours at the Shrubbery Hotel, Ilminster, Somerset, along with Pandora's Box Disco. The event is organised by the Four Seasons Club which is free to join - members can get in for £6.50; non-members pay a quid more - seems worth joining then! But note the event is only open to Over-21s.
The event starts at 9:00pm and goes on to 1:00am. For more details phone 01460 52108 - don't phone I, phone 'ee!
Thanks to our old mate Andrew Down for tellin' I about this.
1st December 2000 The Wurzels down Weston way!
The Wurzels did a gig at the Parish Pump, Weston. Wurzels' fan Mark "Wilfy" Wilfan was there - he has his own web page www.wilfy.co.uk with loads of pictures of the gig - proper job!
14th October 2000 (Saturday) Celebrate Apple Day With The Wurzels!
The Great Western Community Forest have invited The Wurzels along to provide the entertainment at their Apple Day celebrations. According to the publicity leaflet, the lads will be performing their top ten hits including (of course!) I Am A Cider Drinker.
The day promises to be a "feast of fun for all the family" and includes traditional apple games and workshops for children, specialists to identify your apples from that old tree in your garden, and cider and wine making experts giving demonstrations. The leaflet doesn't say if there's any cider for sale there - I hope so!
The event is totally free, will be held between 11am and 4pmUpper Shaw Community Centre - as far as I can make out, that's somewhere near Swindon. For further details call 01793 466324, or see the Great Western Community Forest website.
Thanks to Tommy Banner for telling us about this event!
