Celebrate
Apple Day With The Wurzels!
The Great Western Community Forest have invited The
Wurzels along to provide the entertainment at their Apple
Day celebrations. According to the publicity leaflet, the
lads will be performing their top ten hits including
(of course!) I Am A Cider Drinker.
The day promises to be a "feast of fun for all the family"
and includes traditional apple games and workshops for children,
specialists to identify your apples from that old tree in your
garden, and cider and wine making experts giving demonstrations.
The leaflet doesn't say if there's any cider for sale
there - I hope so!
The event is totally free, will be held between 11am
and 4pmUpper Shaw Community Centre - as far as I can make out, that's somewhere near
Swindon. For further details call 01793 466324,
or see the Great Western
Community Forest website.
Thanks to Tommy Banner for telling us about this event!
