Mike
Gwilliam
(Wurzel
1985-1995)
Mike
Gwilliam was drafted into The Wurzels to replace the departing Tony
Bayliss in 1985. Although he never appeared on any
Wurzels releases, he played with live with the band for a decade
before leaving in 1995 to be replaced by Dave
Wintour.
There
is virtually nothing on record about Mike's background, but we understand
he was an former rock 'n' roller from the West Country.
Mike
was famous for his black and white painted "cow" bass
guitar, complete with udders! If anyone has a picture of his playing
that, we'd love to see it!
