Rod Owen
(Wurzels musical arranger/director: mid 1970s? to 1978)

Rod appears to have worked alongside The Wurzels as music director in the 1970s; also fronting The Rod Owen Orchestra who supported (or augmented) The Wurzels on tour.

He is credited on the I'll Never Get A Scrumpy Here album in 1978, and the The Rod Owen Orchestra was mentioned on a gig poster from September 1978 (pictured right).

Rod was co-wrote I Got Me Beady Little Eye On Thee with Pete Budd, the b-side of the 1978 I'll Never Get A Scrumpy Here single, which also appeared on the album. As far as I am aware, this was his only songwriting success with the band.
